Land Transport Department denies old type driving licenses canceled

Land Transport Department Director General Thirapong Rodprasert denied that his department planned to cancel driving licenses and to replace them with smartcards immediately.
Thirapong said online social networkers should stop spreading the false information. He said his department had no plan to force drivers to replace their license with smartcards. They could continue to use the license card until it expires.
