Energy Minister Narongchai Akrasanee said the committee reached the decision though LPG price dropped by 32 satang per kg in the past three months.
As the June price is maintained, the Oil Fund for LPG would receive additional contribution worth Bt260 million a month. At present, the fund sits on cash worth about Bt7 billion. The fund is used to ensure stability of the cooking gas price.
Narongchai said that a cut in the retail price may benefit only retailers, not consumers.
