Supreme Court acquits Thepthai in defamation lawsuit

The Supreme Court Wednesday upheld the lower courts' ruling to acquit former Democrat Party MP Thepthai Senpong in a defamation lawsuit.
The Supreme Court ruled that Thepthai simply questioned then former science minister Plodprasop Suraswadi as to whether he was a member of the Thaksin regime and asked him whether there was anti-monarchy movement. The court ruled that Thepthai’s comment was not deemed defamation against Plodprasop at all.
