Each recipient will get Bt450,000 to cover their tuition, accommodation and living expenses throughout their four-year undergraduate course at the university’s Lampang campus.
Dr Adit Laixuthai, executive vice-president of Kasikornbank, said eligible candidates for the grants must be students who completed secondary education or vocational education (certificate level) in Nan province with a GPA of at least 2.5, come from cash-strapped families, and have the determination to return to their home province and develop it after graduation.
“We wish to increase Nan youth’s access to higher education and to prepare human resources for the country’s sustainable development,” Adit said.
