Democrat ex-MP Pracha seriously injured in accident

Former Democrat MP Pracha "Kamnan Sia" Phopipit was seriously injured in a road accident yesterday morning when his pickup truck collided with another pickup, whose driver was also critically wounded, in Kanchanaburi's Bo Ploi district.
Following the report at about 10am, police and rescue workers reached the accident scene in Tambon Chong Dan.
The 73-year-old Pracha had four broken ribs, a dislocated hip and a broken leg.
The other vehicle’s driver was identified as a 25-year-old local man, Thanabat Jongwattanapaisan.
Pol Lieutenant Thaweesak Eiumjongjan of Bo Ploi Police Station said the initial police probe found that Pracha was driving towards the Bo Ploi Market when his vehicle collided with Thanabat’s truck. Investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing.
