Watana’s move came after the Central Administrative Court turned down his petition to have the ban lifted, which was filed against the head of the National Council for Peace and Order, Prime Minister General Prayut Chanocha.
The NCPO issued the order banning the 155 from leaving the country last year.
Narinpong Jinaphak, Watana’s lawyer, claimed that the ban violated citizenship rights and human rights based on international norms.
