The Supreme Court Thursday acquitted a freelance computer programmer in a case in which he was charged with posting a message on Internet deemed insulting His Majesty the King.

The Supreme Court upheld the ruling of the Criminal and Appeals courts to acquit Surasak Phuchaisaen on the benefit of the doubt.
The Supreme Court agreed with the lower courts that Surasak’s computer might have been accessed and its data might have been tampered with during the process of the delivery the computer for checking by the authorities.
