Vocational schools to consider tattooed pupils on case-by-case basis

Private vocational schools have now agreed to consider applications from students who sport tattoos and stretched ear piercing on a case-by-case basis.

“They will invite these applicants in for a talk and the students may be asked to remove their tattoos or avoid wearing certain types of earrings,” Education Ministry’s permanent secretary Kamjorn Tatiyakavee said Thursday.
He said the tattoos did not have to be removed if they were not very visible.
