Jatuporn says draft charter designed to allow junta to stay in power

Red-shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan Monday criticised the draft charter, saying it has been designed to allow the National Council for Peace and Order to stay in power.

Jatuporn said the draft was written in a way to provoke its rejection by the National Reform Council so that the NCPO would remain in power longer.
But if the draft is passed, the NCPO would still be in power via the crisis panel or the National Strategic Reform and Reconciliation Committee (NSRRC), Jatuporn added.
