NCPO spokesman says situation now under control

National Council for Peace and Order Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd announced on TV late Monday night that the government has controlled the situation following the blast at the Ratchaprasong Intersection.
Sansern said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had assigned the Public Health and Tourism ministries to take care of and provide assistance for foreigners who were the victims of the blast.
The spokesman denied that the government had ordered closure of financial situations.
He urged the public not to panic and to inform the authorities if they suspect anything suspicious.
