US CHARGE d'affaires Patrick Murphy yesterday condemned the Erawan bomb attack and extended his condolences to the families of those killed and wounded in Thailand's "worst ever attack".
Murphy laid a wreath at ground zero and made offerings to the Erawan Shrine.
He expressed his deepest sympathies for the families of those killed and maimed in the attack.
The United States is willing to offer any kind of support and admires the Thai people’s strength and unity while striving to restore the situation, he said.
Murphy said his country wanted to provide assistance in the investigation, although Thailand has not asked for any. The US does not have more in-depth information than the Thai government has, he said, but would closely monitor the situation.
He added that he felt especially saddened because his residence was so close to Ratchaprasong Intersection that he could feel the blast.
