Forensic science police checking DNA on remain of backpack

Forensic science police are trying to extract DNA samples from remain piece of backpack that carried the fatal bomb in the Erawan Shrine attack, a source said.

The source said police plan to use DNA of victims to eliminate the found samples to try to pinpoint a possible sample of the suspect.
But police are not confident of the success of the DNA collecting because the samples might have been destroyed by heat generated by the blast, the source added.
