Four measures for Commerce Ministry

Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak has delivered four priority measures to the Commerce Ministry regarding the domestic economy, crop prices, exports, and strengthening local businesses.

After a meeting with the Commerce Ministry, the Board of Trade of Thailand and the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Federation of Thai Industries, Somkid instructed the ministry to proceed with four measures. The first is to tackle the rising cost of living and work closely with the private sector to ensure that goods prices are fair for both consumers and manufacturers. The ministry was also urged to send teams to monitor price and enforce laws to punish unfair traders.
The second measure is to increase the efficiency of managing crop prices, stabilising commodity prices and ensuring fair returns to farmers.
Third is to work closely with the private sector to penetrate potential export markets.
The final measure is to support business operations and reduce the procedures for business registration.
