Meechai vague about joining new charter panel

Former Senate speaker Meechai Ruchupan will neither confirm nor deny whether he is willing to become chairman of the new charter-drafting committee.
In response to comments posted in his personal website, www.meechaithailand.com, he said he was keeping an eye on developments and the media’s speculation, but added that he did not have to explain his reasons on how he would respond to the offer.
