Domestic car sales drop in August

Domestic car sales continued to fall in August, despite a 14 per cent year-on-year surge in exports.
According to data compiled by Toyota Motor Thailand, 61,991 vehicles were sold in the month, a 9.9 per cent decrease from the same period last year.
The fall was attributed to a 24 per cent drop in passenger car sales, while commercial vehicles rose by 0.9 per cent - the first increase in 28 months.
