Prayut extends Aksara term as chief peace negotiator

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has signed an order to extend the term of Gen Aksara Kerdphol as the chief of the Thai team holding peace dialogue with Muslim insurgent groups.
Akasara is due to retire at the end of this month so Prayut issued a PM’s Office order to extend his term as chief peace negotiator, said Col Banphot Poonpian, the spokesman of the Internal Security Operations Command.
