Meechai wants time to decide on CDC leadership

Former Senate Speaker Meechai Ruchupan has asked for time to decide whether he will head the new constitution drafting committee (CDC), Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Kreangam said Thursday.
He quoted Meechai as saying that he needed some time to consider the invitation as he had health issues and did not wish to put himself at the centre of problems. He added that Meechai has until Prime Minister Prayut Chanocha returns from the United Nations General Assembly on October 1 to decide.
