Myanmar student charged over FB porn snaps

Yangon - A university student has been charged by police after his former girlfriend accused him of uploading pornographic photos of her to Facebook, according to Yangon Region police.

According to police records, the couple split up in January and the student was accused of sending abusive messages via Viber and uploading photos that portrayed her as a prostitute.

“We are investigating her complaint and we cannot grant bail to him as he can be sentenced to three years in prison if he is found guilty,” said a police officer.

The police opened the case under the Communications Law.
