Rains ease haze in South

The haze in seven southern provinces has been eased by rains, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department chief Chatchai Phromlert said Sunday.
Chatchai said the particulate matter amounts in the seven provinces had dropped to the mild level because of rains and a stronger northeast wind.
He said the levels of particulate matter of up to 10 microns in size ranged between 58 to 87 mcg now, which was below than the dangerous level.
