'Five rivers' meeting Wednesday to be broadcast live

A meeting of the "five rivers" or the National Council for Peace and Order, the Cabinet and three other agencies will be held and broadcast live Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said Monday.

He said the meeting will be also be attended by permanent secretaries of all ministries and equivalent permanent officials.
The three other agencies are the National Legislative Assembly, the new Constitution Drafting Commission and the National Reform Steering Council.
It will be the first five-river meeting after the new CDC has replaced the old CDC and NRSC National Reform Council.
Wissanu said the meeting will begin at 9:30 am and last until noon.
The meeting will be broadcast live on government radios and TVs like a broadcast of parliamentary meetings, he added.
He said nearly 20 C-11 officials, who are heads of permanent officials, will take the chance to listen to national reform ideas from the prime minister.
