Prayut to see things for himself

PRIME MINISTER General Prayut Chan-o-cha will visit the Northeast province of Nakhon Ratchasima on November 12 to learn about the area's issues and inspect the drought situation, government spokesman Maj-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd said yesterday.

During the trip, the premier will also inspect civil-service work in areas such as water management, and find out if farmers are indeed opting for other crops. He will also study the result of economic-stimulus measures in the area, Sansern said. Related agencies have been instructed to prepare clear information about what has been done as well as point out persistent issues that might require the PM to use his absolute power under Section 44 of the interim charter, he added.
