Over 300 seek medical help

More than 300 Myanmar nationals and Thais living near the border today flocked to Mae Sot International Hospital in Mae Sot, Tak, seeking to enroll into a charitable programme designed for those born with a clef.

The programme conducted by Operation Smile Thailand in cooperation with private companies aims to provide free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children. The programme will be available to 100 children.
The medical team from hospitals in the district helped screen patients for the surgery.
