PM, Prawit deny military officers implicated

TOP government figures Thursday tried to downplay reports that at least 40 commissioned military officers were involved in lese majeste.

“Neither has any evidence been presented nor is there any prosecution yet,” Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha said.
Defence Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who is also the deputy prime minister overseeing security affairs, meanwhile said he had not received any official report on their alleged involvement.
“Had the allegation been true, I would have received an official report on the matter,” he said.
