South Korean man arrested over murder

Police yesterday announced the arrest of a South Korean man for his alleged role in the November 19 murder of compatriot and syndicate gang member Lim Dong Joon, whose body was found in a car at a resort in Chon Buri's Huai Yai district.

The suspect identified as Yun Myeong Kyun, 31, initially alerted the South Korean Consulate about the body and was later identified as the gang leader, although he claimed to have just dumped the body at the resort and that he had nothing to do with the murder.

Not finding his testimony convincing, police had him undergo a urine test, which came out positive for substance abuse. The suspect also implicated other two on-the-run compatriots Kim Sung Pyo, 30, and Kim Hyong Jin, 31, as the culprits.
