Army detains core red shirt leaders heading to Rajabhakti Park

Two red shirt leaders - Nuttawut Saikua and Jatuporn Prompan - were detained on Monday as they were heading to the controversial Rajabhakti Park in Prachuab Khiri Khan.

They were surrounded and detained by uniformed army officials while making a stop in Mahachai, Samut Songkhram, en route to the park. They were taken into a van.

Both earlier said they would visit the park today, following reports that suggest possible corruption in the construction project.

Nattawut's secretary told Nation TV that at around 11am, he was following the van which goes southward.
