Obama extends birthday wishes to His Majesty

“I would like to take this auspicious occasion to express my profound appreciation for your many significant contributions to the U.S.-Thai alliance.  Your vision and efforts have advanced the cause of peace and prosperity in both our countries, the region, and beyond.  I look forward to continuing our countries' close cooperation,” Obama said in his letter to His Majesty.

“On this day of celebration, we wish your Majesty and the royal family a peaceful and joyous year to come.”
