POLICE have confiscated Bt63 million worth of crystal meth from a drug suspect who was arrested in Bangkok on Christmas Eve.

Ale sae Wu, 30, told police that a drug-trafficking gang paid him Bt10,000 a month to deliver the narcotics in the capital.
“I took the drugs from the gang, led by a man called Meng, stored the stuff and then sent it off to customers as per Meng’s orders,” Ale said at a press conference yesterday.
Police said they received tip-offs and in response they staged an undercover operation to buy 2 kilograms of crystal meth from Ale on Thursday night. After the delivery, police followed Ale and discovered another 19kg of narcotics at his apartment.
Provincial Police Region 1 deputy commissioner Pol Maj-General Ronnasilp Phusara said the case would be investigated further in a bid to nail all the culprits.
“Based in the North, this gang has been sending the drugs to Bangkok and neighbouring provinces,” he said.
