Dentist now promises to pay guarantors

A former lecturer of Mahidol University’s dentistry school has promised to pay four guarantors who were fined after she violated the terms of her scholarship.

Dr Dolrudee Jumlongras, who now works at Harvard University in the US, has written message to the four guarantors, offering to repay what they had to pay to the university on her behalf.
Dentist Padet Pulwittayakij, one of the four guarantors who had to pay Bt2 million on behalf of Dolrudee to settle her breach of scholarship conditions, posted on his Facebook wall that she has promised to pay him and the three guarantors.
She gave the promise after Mahidol announced on Tuesday that it would file a personal bankruptcy lawsuit against a former lecturer of its dentistry school in order to seek reimbursement of more than Bt30 million owed by her.
Padet posted Dolrudee’s message on his Facebook wall as following:
"As I mentioned to you, P'Pui, P'Padet and Aj Araya several times that I will pay all of you the loan you got plus interest, I'm still looking for a way to find the money to pay you and perhaps, it may be better that you hear it directly form me so that you can be reassured that I will do it as I promise?
“I just talked to P'Pui and she's aware of my intention and sincerity.
“Please give me the best number and time for me to call you.
Porsche”
Her earlier inaction that caused financial sufferings to the four guarantors caused her to come under storm of criticisms and attacks by Thai Facebook users.
