PTT's sale volume up in Jan

PTT, Thailand's biggest retail oil business operator, saw fuel sale volume in January increased by 10 per cent from the same period last year as oil prices hit the 12-year low.

Auttapol Rerkpiboon, a senior executive vice president, added that in the month, the transport sector's usage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dropped, indicating more consumption of fuel oil.
He warned that despite the price fall, Thailand remained a net importer of energy. As such, energy efficiency should be top concern of all.
