BEM 'entitled' to expressway compensation

Bangkok Expressway and Metro is tipped to win Bt4.39 billion in compensation from the Expressway Authority of Thailand.

The company informed the stock exchange that it had three years to force Exat to comply with the arbitration panel’s decision reached on February 12.
The agency had 90 days to seek a court order to nullify the panel’s decision.
Under the Transport Ministry’s announcement of August 29, 2003, BEM was barred from raising tolls as allowed in its concession. The award covers Bt3.78 billion in lost revenue since April 2008 plus statutory interest.
