No executive of the company showed up at the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission's office today, to pay for the initial fee of the 900MHz licence.
4.30pm was the deadline of the initial fee payment worth Bt8 billion.
NBTC commissioners said earlier that if Jas failed to pay the fee, the licence would be re-auctioned within four months.
Jas won the bid in December at the price of Bt75.65 billion.
Earlier today, NBTC Secretary General Takorn Tantasith said the Stock Exchange of Thailand executives called him, asking for the progress.
He hence suggested Jas to hold a press conference to inform the public what it intended to do.
Jas share price at 4.44pm moved up by Bt0.10 or 2.79 per cent from last week's closing to Bt3.68.
