Jas cancels press conference
Jasmine International abruptly cancelled its press conference planned Tuesday afternoon, a day after it failed to pay the first instalment for the 900MHz licence it won at auction in December.
The company planned to hold a press conference at its head office at 2 pm today but later informed reporters that the conference was cancelled.
Jas Mobile Broadband (JASMBB) of Jasmine International, one of the two 900MHz licence winners, Mon did not show up to pay the instalment after the deadline yesterday at 4.30pm.
Its failure to pay the instalment suggested that there is no new player in the market to compete with the three incumbent players.
