5-mth govt revenue above target

Net government revenue totalled Bt898.06 billion in the first five months of the fiscal year 2016, Bt43.88 billion or 5.1 per cent above target, according to Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) director-general Krisda Chinavicharana.
The revenue, collected during October and February, was also 9.8 per cent higher than the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Personal income tax and beer tax rose by 5.1 per cent (Bt6.15 billion) and 12.6 per cent (Bt4.42 billion) above targets.
Krisda attributed to the continued expansion in domestic consumption and effects from the government's economic stimulus.
