Purple Line trial run in June

The Purple Line train (Bang Yai-Taopoon) will operate a trial run during June and July prior to the official service commencement in August, said Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd, the government's spokesperson.

He said that during the months, periodic free rides would be available. After the service officially commences, the fare in this section is expected to range from Bt14-42.
The 23-km route has 16 stations, expected to accommodate 120,000 passengers per day.
