Pipeline transfer probed

The Finance Ministry is investigating the transfer of PTT’s natural-gas pipelines to the ministry’s jurisdiction, Finance Minister Apisak Tantivorawong said.

“Under the agreement in 2007 to transfer the pipelines, the Finance Ministry has the right to get back other assets from PTT if it finds that some assets should be owned by the government. This will be considered by both parties, PTT and the Finance Ministry,” he said.
He added that the Office of the Auditor-General had the right to forward a case concerning PTT to the National Anti-Corruption Commission on whether to file a criminal suit against individuals regarding incomplete transfer of PTT’s gas pipelines.
