Former Thaksin adviser Trairong dies at 67

General Trairong Intharathat - a former adviser to Thaksin Shinawatra - died yesterday of heart failure. He was 67 years old.

The general, who was also known as chief-of-staff Ice, was pronounced dead at 7.17am at the Phra Mongkut Klao Hospital where was admitted on April 4.
Apart from holding several key military posts, including chief of staff for the Supreme Command and specialist for the Army, Trairong also served as security adviser for Thaksin when he was premier. 
Royally-sponsored bathing rites will be held at Wat Soammanas at 3pm tomorrow, and praying rites will be held until June 16.
