Business back to normal as floods in Bang Pu Industrial Estate subside

Business was back to normal at the Bang Pu Industrial Estate in Samut Prakan province Thursday, where several factories were forced to temporarily close due to floods on Wednesday.
Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand’s governor Verapong Chaiperm also said Thursday that the floods did not cause any damages because all the factories had time to prepare thanks to an early warning about huge rainfall.
“All factories are now running normally,” he said.
However, he said, the Free Trade Zone in the industrial estate was still under some 10 centimetres of water.
“We are draining the water and believe the situation will return to normal soon if there are no more downpours,” Verapong said.
