50 detained for campaignign for release of seven students

Officers Saturday detained some 50 activists who joined an activity to release 100 balloons with the message ‘Campaigning is Not a Crime’ to the sky at Ramkhamhaeng University.

Consisting of pro-democracy activists and students, labour leaders, and environmental activists, they read a statement calling on the National Council for Peace and Order to free and drop the charge against the seven student activist who previously have been detained for staging a campaign against the constitution draft.
