Defence volunteer killed, village head injured in Yala attack
A village head was seriously injured and a defence volunteer was killed in an ambush by Muslim insurgents Monday morning.
Police said the attack happened on a village road in Kampong Yingor village in Yala’s Bannang Sata district at 10:10 am
The village head, Asae Niseng, 42, was shot at his body while the defence volunteer, Saman Soparp, 45, was also shot at his body and died on the way to the Yala hospital.
