Voters urged to help monitor possible fraud

Election Commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn Tuesday urged voters to help monitor possible fraud in the Sunday’s national referendum on charter draft.

Somchai wrote on his Facebook that voters could take part in the watchdog by reporting suspicious activities to the Election Commission (EC).

“If you find or see unusual incidents, use your smartphones to capture photos or videos and send via Ta Sapparod [or "pineapple eyes", an anti-fraud elections application created by the EC],” he said.
He added that voters can go to near polling booths to observe the vote counting which will begin after polling ends or after 4pm on August 7 and take photos, post them on social media with #referendumresult hatchtag.
