Meechai thanks voters for approving charter draft

Constitution Drafting Commission chairman Meechai Ruchupan held a press conference at 8 pm to thank Thai people for coming out to vote to accept the charter draft while urging them to forget what happened during the referendum process.
He said any hurtful words that some people directed to the CDC or on a contrary the CDC made against them should be forgotten and left behind so that all parties could move forward following the passage of the charter draft at the referendum.
He said despite the referendum passage, it would take around three or four months for the referendum to take effect following technical procedures that follow.
