Bangkok MRT app launched
Bangkok Expressway and Metro Plc, the operator of the MRT subway, launched the "Bangkok MRT" app to facilitate Thai and foreign commuters.
Sombat Kitjalaksana, president of the company, said that the app, which is now available for download, is designed to answer all questions by commuters. It details the two subway routes, connecting points with other mass transit networks, exits and entrances, fares and other activities.
The app, available for Android and iOS, comes with Thai and English languages. The MRT network has recently been expanded to cover two lines - the Blue Line (commencing operations in 2004) and the Purple Line (which officially commenced operations this month).
