Cremation of land-deed suspect indefinitely postponed

A brother of a suspect in an illegal land-deed registration case said the cremation of the suspect’s body will be indefinitely postponed pending autopsy’s result.
Chainarong Anukul, a younger brother of Tawatchai Anukul, said Thawatchai’s body will be kept until an autopsy result was offcially issue by the Forensic Medicine Institute of the Police Hospital.
Chainarong said he suspected irregularities in the death of Thawatchai who allegedly hanged himself with a sock inside a detention at the Department of Special Investigation.
A preliminary checking found that Tawatchai had ruptured liver that appeared to be caused by a blunt object.
Chainarong said the Forensic Medicine Institute would take about 45 days before issuing an official autopsy result.
