Loei’s Tourism Authority Office director Kiartipong Kachawong said Phu Bo Bit has become popular for Thai tourists, especially the elderly because it is convenient to access the mountaintop with vehicles.
He said the mountaintop is only 500 metres above the sea and it is just three kilometres from Loei’s downtown.
He said all hotels, resorts and home-stays services have nearly all been booked for the next two months during which some 200,000 tourists are expected to visit the northern province.
