Govt spokesman confirms no urgent statement from PM

Government Spokesman Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will not make any urgent statement later Wednesday as widely speculated on social networks.
Sannsern Prayut abruptly ended his mission in Chon Buri to return to Bangkok to have time for preparing a report for His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.
Sansern said Prayut will have to report the current situation to the Crown Prince if he is granted an audience.
“The prime minister will make no special statement today. The people should not be panic or believe rumours on social media,” Sansern said.
