Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, the eldest daughter of the late HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, met with members of the general public who went to the royal Buddhist chanting ceremony on Monday night at the Grand Palace.

The princess also graciously provided people with food and talked with them to boost their morale.
Many photos and video clips taken while the princess was talking were circulated on Thai social media.
According to a video clip posted on the Facebook page of ThaiRoyalFamilyNews on the same night, the princess told the crowd that she came to join them in expressing sorrow and thanking them, as they were “all from the same family” so they should give each other encouragement.
“He is my father and also everyone’s father ... Next we must work together, move forward and not backward," she said, while surrounding people chanted “long live the princess”.
The clip, which received 5,100 “shares” and 322,000 “views” on Facebook, also saw hundreds of comments by people expressing thanks for the princess’s kindness.
