The Throne Hall will be opened for public from 9am-4pm on Saturday.
Authorities estimated huge amount of mourners nationwide thronging to Sanam Luang on the first day that they are allowed to enter the Throne Hall where the royal urn is resting and the body of HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej is in a coffin nearby the urn.
The Royal Household Bureau has postponed the initial schedule from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning because Friday will be the last day of 15 days of religious rituals.
Currently, public members are able to pay homage to HM the late King before his portrait and sign condolence books to express their sorrow at the Sala Sahathai Samakhom from 8.30am-4pm everyday.
"The postponement is due to inconvenience and limited time on Friday," Bangkok Metropolitan Administration spokesperson Tridao Aphaiwong or Treedao Aphaiwong said.
