No special agenda for NLA next month: Pornpetch

National Legislative Assembly president Pornpetch Wichitcholchai denied Monday that “some special agenda” has been scheduled for early next month.

Pornpetch said he has made no special instruction to prohibit NLA members from taking leave or travel overseas between late this month to early next month.
The NLA president said he had just informally asked assembly members to be prepared for some meeting with “important agenda” suggested by the government. “There may be some urgent matter. Judging from what the government has signalled, the NLA may need to endorse different treaties,” he said.
Pornpetch explained that in early December, there would be some long public holidays. And he was worried that some NLA members may take long leaves so he asked them to be on standby.
“The NLA has scheduled a meeting with normal agenda on December 1 and 2. There is no special agenda,” he said.
