The authorities said Monday that the confirmed flood death toll in Surat Thani rose to three while a 55-year-old-man is still missing.
The Surat Thani disaster mitigation office said heavy downpours continued in the southern province, and thus expanding flood-hit areas to cover 17 districts. The floods have so far affected 27,601 families in 607 villages.
The flood victims were identified as Natthapol Manachan, 6, Amporn Chupromkaew, 64, Supong Semapat, 41.
Suthep Aebmanee is still missing after his fishing boat capsized on Saturday.
