Paiboon to be sworn in as privy councillor Wednesday

Newly appointed Privy Council Gen Paiboon Koomchaya on Tuesday said he was scheduled to take an oath in front of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralonglorn Wednesday.

Paiboon, who was appointed as a Privy Council member Tuesday, said he had resigned from Justice Minister and allocated his work the others.

He declined to elaborate who would replace him at the ministry, saying all depended on Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha.

“Now, my duty as the minister is finished,” he said at the Government House before meeting with the PM. He also showed his thumb-up to reporters.
Paiboon also refused to elaborate future management on his leftover works during his time as Justice Minister, during an ongoing arrest attempt against Pathum Thani-based Wat Dhammakaya abbot Phra Dhammachayo.
